Keeping alive the traditions of excellence and awarding the high academic achievers, Guru Nanak Khalsa College, Mumbai, held its Degree distribution and Prize distribution function on Wednesday, 18 th December 2019 at the Multipurpose hall of GNKC. It was an endeavour to acknowledge and award students for their glorious achievements in the Examinations for the Academic Year Session 2018-2019.
The programme commenced with the grand march of the rankers, at university graduation and post graduation exams, in their convocation robes led by the NCC cadets followed by the COE, Dr, Jatinder Kaur, holding the baton, and joined by the Principal Dr. Kiran Mangaonkar, Chief Guest for the day Dr. Pravin Rao, Vice principals; Dr, Davinderpal Kaur Bhasin, Dr. Allan D’ Souza , Dr. Kalsi, Ms,.Durga Pawar, Ms. Sangita Bevli (Jr. college) along with the members of the Local Managing Committee; S. Satinderpal Singh Ahuja and Management Representative, S. Govinder Singh Natt. This was followed by the ritualistic Prayer song. 
The convener, Dr. Mithu Bhattacharya in her address welcomed the Chief Guest and congratulated the certificate holders and advised them not to be complacent.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Pravin Rao in his key note address, applauded the efforts of the prize winners and encouraged them to do better. He emphasized the importance of 3 D’s; ie Dreams, Degree and Dogmas to be one’s life mantra. He was felicitated with the memento by the Principal Dr. Kiran Mangaonkar and S. Satinderpal Singh Ahuja.
Presenting the Annual Academic report for the year 2018-2019 The Principal Dr. Kiran Mangaonkar mentioned about the achievements of the students in various activities in the institute and congratulated the faculty and staff for excellent work done in sustaining the all-round growth of the Students. He congratulated the high academic achievers and highlighted the  work done by the teachers in maintaining excellent academic standards in the school The Chief Guest, The Principal, gave away the certificates to the meritorious students for their academic excellence. They also felicitated 7 staff members, on completion of 25 years of service to the institute with memento. In all 215 prizes including 35 special prizes, out of which 2 NSS and 1 NCC, nonacademic were given away to the students for excelling in numerous courses. Amidst heavy applause, the ceremony was inherently a spectacular show, conferring strength and encouragement upon every individual student. 
The programme, which was jointly compered by Dr. Harmeet Kaur Kohli, Ms. Jasbir Kaur, Ms. Manisha Saindane, Dr. Babita Rana, Ms. Nitu Singh, Mr. Robin Mathew, Mr Rohan Parab and Ms. Archana Malvi was attended by parents, students and the teaching staff. 
The grand spectacle ended with a Vote of Thanks by Dr Simran A. Chawla, followed by the National Anthem.
