KHALSA LIBRARY

The library is the heart of the college. The Library has one of the best and rare books collections in Mumbai. The library has a spacious reading hall with separate cubicles for the staff, female and blind students. It can accommodate 350 readers at a time. The reading hall is kept open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. The closing hour is extended to 7:00 pm during examinations.

Our library has a collection of over 65,000 books in Senior College section and 5000 books in the Junior College section. Ours is the only college in Maharashtra which has a fine collection of books on Sikh history and religion. There is a separate section for periodicals comprising 2000 bound periodicals plus journals in various subjects.

Furthermore, the availability of technical, scientific, literary and popular journals and periodicals, newspapers, and also reference books like dictionaries, encyclopedias etc. to students and teachers are noteworthy.

The Library also has a book bank which provides books to the needy students. It also offers an extra library ticket, scholars card to meritorious students.

The Library has following Sections:

  • Newsstand: Current issues of Daily / Weekly / Monthly newspapers, Magazines
  • CDs/ DVDs collection centre: Available for borrowing.
  • Information Centre: To facilitate Staff and Student use of computers & internet.
  • Language Laboratory
  • Counselling Centre

The Digital Media Library at CEC(Centre for Educational Communication) is a central Repository of all the Educational Video Programmes produced by the educational Multimedia Research Centres setup up UGC in the universities and instituions of higher education across the country. The media library houses all the master tapes of the educational video programmes, e-Contents and LOR's produced on various subjects and is a storehouse of 'wealth of knowledge.'
