NUTRACEUTICALSThe awareness about role of food in maintaining good health and prevention of disease has increased dramatically and hence there is a huge market opportunity for nutraceuticals and industry will need more and more trained manpower. Nutraceutical is a nutritional product that provides medicinal benefits in addition to its regular nutritional value (nutrition + pharmaceutical). Nutraceuticals may refer to foods, dietary supplements, medicinal foods as well as functional foods that may contribute to prevention and / or treatment of disease. Nutraceuticals is a two year post graduate course has been introduced to provide trained manpower to food and nutraceutical industry considering huge market opportunity. Scope after doing the course:
